Should I write to my ex?

The key word there is ex and some times we have to be strong and walk away from our past. Where were those so called circle of friends in your time of need? True friends would have been there to help you reguardless to what the two of you were going through. Are these really people you want to contact? Sounds like only two of them are worth the bother. He's(ex) the last person I would contact. Let sleeping dogs lay. If you must contact the others then do so through the two friends that you still talk with at this time. Good Luck
