Do I let him back into my life?

Make him be the one to make the effort not you.I think he has more than friends in his mind and its easier to not like you and not see you he is childish and will out grow that someday. Be honest with him and you be friends but not best friends and always keep it in your mind how he can just snap with no warning so you wont get hurt anymore
