Most guys who treat their girlfriends like that and part do not come back or only come back b/c they are tired of the new person they are with and remember certain aspects about the relationship that they wouldn't mind doing again. He probably would hurt you again if you'd let him back into your life eventually. Don't see him and leave the past in the past.
